DYNAMIC ACTION TEAM EPISODE 01: “CUT THAT WOOD”
Scene opens up with three guys in the lumber mill, standing near to each other.
FRANSWAH
Right. I dunno about you guys but I am sick and tired of being a stereotype. People see me and the first thing they say is, “Ooo, you have a gun in your hand, you must be an FPS player, you must run around all day mindlessly shooting things, ooo, you have no imagination or creativity, ooo.” Well I’m tired of it! I want to prove to the world that we can do other things besides shoot people. Are you with me?
DUO
Aye!
FRANSWAH
Right then! From now on we will no longer frag people. From now on… we will roleplay!
GUSTAV
…what
FRANSWAH
That’s right, we will roleplay. This will give us an opportunity to express ourselves creatively, and thereby fight the stereotype of mindless button-mashing killers.
MOP
(slight pause)
I’m willing to give it a try.
GUSTAV
Well, what role will we be playing.
FRANSWAH
Ah, I’m glad you asked! Look around this map and tell me what you see.
The camera pans around and points at all the things the other guys mention.
GUSTAV
Trees…
MOP
A train…
GUSTAV
Some wood…
FRANSWAH
You’ve got it! So, what role typically is played out in such an environment?
MOP
…Bartender?
FRANSWAH
No! we are all going to play the role of… lumber mill workers!
MOP
Em…
GUSTAV
…Ah
FRANSWAH
What?
GUSTAV
I just don’t think this role is speaks to my experiences.
FRANSWAH
It doesn’t matter, cut that wood!
MOP
I’d rather shoot people
FRANSWAH
Cut that woood!
GUSTAV
Which wood?
FRANSWAH
That woood!
MOP
That wood?
FRANSWAH
No that woood! Cut that wood!
GUSTAV and MOP go to cut wood. As they peer over their shoulder they see the FRANSWAH cutting his own wood and saying things like “look at me! I’m a lumber mill worker! I am creative!”.
GUSTAV
I have a feeling this premise will get real old real fast.
